All users of the app will be able to see your username and your location. Your email address and full name will remain private and can’t be seen by any app users.

When you post a case on Chime, it can be viewed and commented on by all the members of the community. Cases that you share are not used outside of Chime. 

Chime is a professional, educational network of passionate, experienced surgeons who want to learn from one another. The posts and comments on this app shouldn’t be used to promote an organization, product or individual person. 

With the exception of removing posts that are in violation of our community standards, our moderators do not alter images or captions in any way. All edits must be made by you. 

Tap the three dots next to an interesting case to send it to Saved posts in your profile. 

If your post is reported by another app user, it is removed from Chime while we review it. Upon review, your case may be reinstated or deleted. If your case is deleted, you will receive a message explaining why. 

Some hospital firewalls block the use of certain apps. If you notice that Chime stops working for you while you’re in your hospital, you have two options.

1. You can switch your hospital’s WIFI connection off and use cellular data.
2. You can ask your hospital IT staff to unblock or “whitelist” Chime.
